Where is your happiness? Your joy?
Your voice, your stance, your countenance?
Some say there is no happiness, no joy.
Do you ever wake early enough to see the beauty of a sunrise,
Or study the lines of a child’s precious face?
Do you ever hear the music in laughter,
Or feel the sensual pleasure of a silken piece of fabric?
Breathe deeply the fragrance of a rain-washed breeze?
Stop to listen to your heart?
Talk to God?
You and you alone can find your happiness, your joy.
Only you.
